# How to create your first WhatsApp Form?

CREATING YOUR FIRST WHATSAPP FORM WITH WHATSFORM

WhatsForm allows you to gather customer information directly through WhatsApp,
making engagement simple and seamless. This guide will show you how to create
your first WhatsApp form, using a simple Contact Us form for a fictional
cosmetics brand, Glow Up Cosmetics, as an example.

ACCESSING THE DASHBOARD

Begin by logging into your WhatsForm dashboard. You can do this by navigating to
app.whatsform.com [http://app.whatsform.com] in your web browser. Once logged
in, locate and click on the "New WhatsForm" button to start creating your form.

SETTING UP YOUR FORM

Provide your WhatsApp number, making sure it's the one you want to use to
receive customer responses. Next, select your preferred language for the form.
WhatsForm supports multiple languages; choose the one that best suits your
target audience.

STARTING FROM SCRATCH

You'll see options to "Start from Scratch" or use a template. In this tutorial,
click on "Start from Scratch" to create a form from a blank canvas.

BUILDING YOUR FORM

You are now on the Build page. This is where you can drag and drop various types
of questions to create your form. To begin, add a heading using the Title
component [https://whatsform.com/help/article/1047-title-component]. Customize
the title to greet your customers. For example, "Welcome to Glow Up Cosmetics!"

ADDING KEY QUESTIONS

Add questions to collect essential customer information:

 * Name: Drag a Text Input Question
   [https://whatsform.com/help/article/1020-text-input-question] to ask for the
customer's name. Modify the title to "What's your name?" You can also provide
a subtitle as instructions and use a placeholder to provide an example.
Finally, mark this field as "Required" if you want to make it obligatory.

 * Email: Drag an Email Question
   [https://whatsform.com/help/article/1045-email-question] to collect the email
address. Ensure that the field is "Required".

 * How did you hear about us? Use a Multiple Choice Question
   [https://whatsform.com/help/article/1039-multiple-choice-question]. Add
various options and enable the "Other" option. Ensure to make it a "Required"
   field.

 * Rating: Gather data by including a Rating Question
   [https://whatsform.com/help/article/1042-rating-question]. There are "Star"
and "Survey" options to choose from.

 * Your Message: Add a paragraph to receive detailed messages and inquries.

PREVIEWING AND PUBLISHING

Once you have added all the required questions, click on the "Preview" button at
the top of the page. The preview allows you to see how your form will look on
different devices (mobile, desktop, and as a widget
[https://whatsform.com/help/article/1038-add-whatsform-as-a-widget-to-a-website]).
After you're satisfied with your form, click the "Publish" button.

CUSTOMIZING AND SHARING

Navigate to "Settings" to customize your form's name and URL. This can help you
track your forms and make them more memorable. Next, click on "Share" to copy
the link. Once the link is copied, share it with your customers on WhatsApp, and
have them follow the link, to answer the required data.

By following these steps, you can create effective WhatsApp forms that help you
engage with your customers.
